Director of the Organization for Ports and Navigation in Guilan Province (Iran), Mr. Seyed Ali Naimi, made a statement that after the Joint Complex Action Plan came into force, the investors from China, Germany, South Korea and Russia expressed their interest in investing in the development of the port infrastructure and addressed with relevant proposals.
According to Mr. Naimi, the cargo turnover of Anzali port has sufficiently increased and he expects it to grow steadily.
Bandar-e Anzali is the largest and the most active port on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. This port is equipped with modern loading and unloading facilities. The construction of the eastern and western breakwaters and the installation of 40 hectares of the new surroundings were major steps towards the development and improvement of the port safety and capacity. Alongside with it, a passenger terminal has been built in the port.
