The Minister of Emergency Situations of Russia Vladimir Puchkov arrived in Baku with a working visit.
During the working visit the Ministries of Emergency Situations of Russia and Azerbaijan have signed a comprehensive cooperation plan for the period of 2017-2018.
Pointing to good cooperation prospects, Vladimir Puchkov highlighted long-term mutual activity of the ministries of emergency situations of Russia and Azerbaijan, their work to increase preparedness of administrative bodies and special units, and conduct trainings for specialists, as well as the application of advanced technologies.
Vladimir Puchkov said another two-year plan will create good opportunities for defining the goals, setting tasks, and appointing responsible officials on behalf of both Russia and Azerbaijan.
He said the mutual activity is aimed at paving the way for safety of the population in Russia and Azerbaijan, development of economy and social infrastructure, and application of new forms and methods of reducing threats and preventing disasters.
