21st session of Coordinating Committee on Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea (CASPCOM) was held in Baku (Azerbaijan) on November 17-18. The Session was attended by representatives of all the hydrometeorological agencies of the Caspian littoral states.
The meeting was focused on a number of important issues: the implementation of the Agreement on Co-operation in the Field of Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea, signed within the framework of Caspian Summit in 2014, and the development of the Intergovernmental Integrated Programme on Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea.
The Session participants discussed operational data exchange and expressed hope for further long-term co-operation aimed at securing safety of all the marine activites and the residents of the coastal area.
CASPCOM was established in 1994 to ensure interaction of hydrometeorological agencies of the Caspian states.
